Brennan Program Spring Discussion Groups: Applications Open
August 9 @ 10:00 am – August 20 @ 6:00 pm
The Brennan Program encourages students to critically engage with the ideas and issues associated with justice. Brennan Discussion Groups provide a forum for Brennan members to discuss increasingly important issues of law reform and justice with their peers!
Discussions include a plethora of topics, such as climate change and environmental reform laws, to Australia’s immigration and asylum seeker policies.
Discussion Groups will meet 5 times throughout the semester in groups to discuss different social justice issues, and will accrue 20 ROJ points for submitting 5 x 200 word reflections on their discussions. Groups may decide at the beginning of the semester whether they wish to meet online or in person, according to COVID-19 restrictions.
If you are a second year student or above who is looking to get involved with the Brennan Program, you can apply to be a Discussion Group Leader. Leaders will receive 2 LTS hours per week and 25 ROJ points for a 1000 word reflection.
Spring session times include:
- Monday 2-3pm
- Monday 6-7pm
- Wednesday 5-6pm
