Activities

University isn’t just about studying. The UTS LSS Activities portfolio provides students with opportunities to foster new friendships, get active and take a break from the books. From parties, cruises and the highly-anticipated Law Ball to social sport, gym sessions and intervarsity sport days, the Activities portfolio strives to engage students from all stages of their degrees to stay connected. The UTS LSS recognises the importance of fitness, wellbeing and taking a break from uni. There is always something to look forward to on the UTS LSS Activities Calendar!

Start of Session Party

There’s no better way to kickstart the commencement of university than celebrating with your friends over a few drinks and tunes. After a year of hanging out over Zoom, the Start of Semester Drinks is the perfect chance to kick back and enjoy a night off the books in a COVID safe environment. Catch up with your mates, make new friends and enjoy good vibes all night long!

Our 2021 Start of Semester Drinks is kindly sponsored by our friends from Johnson Winter & Slattery. Don’t forget your favourite hipster glasses, craziest disco afro or 2000’s flip phone for the 2021 Battle of the Decades.

First Year Law Camp

First Year Law Camp is an unmissable event for first-year UTS law students that involves 3 incredible days away on a beach island where you will have the opportunity to make new friends whilst partaking in exciting activities and unforgettable parties. Students will have the opportunity to make connections and be introduced on what university has to offer beyond their studies.

Our 2021 First Year Law Camp is proudly sponsored by Corrs Chambers Westgarth. Designed to cure any overseas FOMO, this year our camp is themed “Vacation Staycation”, inspired by overseas travel.

Second Years Night

After a long first year tarnished by COVID-19, Second Years Night is an opportunity for second year students to get connected in person! With food, drinks and mini games, there is no better way to meet your fellow second years.

Law Cruise

The UTS LSS annual Law Cruise is one of the most anticipated events on the UTS social calendar. The event includes a 3-hour luxury harbour cruise with a pizza buffett, endless tunes and breath-taking harbour views. This event is certainly not one to miss!

Our 2021 Law Cruise attempted to settle the biggest dispute of all time, Cowboys vs Aliens. Check out the photos here.

Law Ball

Law Ball is the peak event in the UTS LSS calendar. This is your opportunity to dress up fancy, enjoy a fabulous meal and dance away at one of Sydney’s premiere and sought after locations followed by an exclusive after party. This is the biggest event of the year so get excited!
